SUNY Maritime Honors Dr. James Chao for Maritime Leadership
SUNY Maritime College is set to confer an honorary Doctor of Science degree to Dr. James S. C. Chao, founder and chairman of Foremost Group, in recognition of his contributions to the maritime industry and education. Dr. Chao, a prominent figure in international shipping, has been instrumental in advancing eco-friendly and energy-efficient shipping practices. His leadership has significantly impacted the global maritime sector, and he is also known for his philanthropic efforts, particularly in education. Dr. Chao will deliver the keynote address to SUNY Maritime's first-year cadets.
