Massachusetts Homeowners Alerted to Rising Yellowjacket Infestations
Pest control experts in Massachusetts are warning homeowners about a significant increase in yellowjacket infestations. Tanner Hutchison, co-owner of Eastern Pine Pest Control, reported a spike in calls for yellowjackets nesting in homes, particularly from August to October. The insects are known to nest behind doorbells, exterior framing, and gutters. Hutchison advises against using over-the-counter repellents for interior nests, as they can agitate the insects and worsen the situation. Instead, he recommends professional intervention to address the infestations effectively.
