LSU Graduate Will Grand Transforms Fraternity Food Waste into 10,000 Meals for the Needy
Will Grand, a former Louisiana State University (LSU) student, initiated a community effort to repurpose discarded fraternity food into meals for those in need. His organization, Giving Greek, has donated over 10,000 meals to Baton Rouge's St Vincent de Paul homeless shelter. Recognized by US Senator Bill Cassidy, Grand's initiative reflects Louisiana's values of humility, respect, and resiliency. The project began when Grand noticed large amounts of untouched food being wasted on campus and decided to redirect it to the homeless shelter.
