Jackson Workforce Expo Facilitates Connections Between Job Seekers and Employers
A workforce expo named 'Clocked In' is set to take place in Jackson, Mississippi, aimed at connecting job seekers with potential employers and training programs. Scheduled for Tuesday at the Jackson Medical Mall, the event will run from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and is free to the public. Over 25 organizations, including Amazon, the U.S. Navy, and the Mississippi Department of Employment Security, will participate. The expo is part of the Foundation for the Mid South’s initiative, 'Moving Mississippians Forward Through Employment.' Attendees are encouraged to bring resumes and engage with employers, training providers, and workforce organizations. The event will also address workforce challenges in Mississippi, such as hiring needs and barriers to employment.
