Convergent Therapeutics Advances Prostate Cancer Treatment with Alpha Radiopharmaceuticals
Convergent Therapeutics is making strides in prostate cancer treatment with its development of CONV01-α, an alpha-emitting radioantibody. This treatment targets prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA) in metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC). Unlike traditional small-molecule ligands, CONV01-α uses antibodies for greater precision and reduced toxicity. Recent data from the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) shows promising results, with CONV01-α demonstrating safety and efficacy in patients previously treated with Novartis' Pluvicto. The treatment offers a new option for patients with limited life expectancy post-Pluvicto and chemotherapy, showing potential for improved progression-free survival.
