Los Angeles Police Chase Suspect Stops to Refuel Mid-Pursuit, Leading to Arrest
A suspect involved in a police chase across Los Angeles County was apprehended after a dramatic pursuit that included an unusual stop to refuel. The chase, which occurred on July 26, 2026, involved a suspect believed to be wanted for a possible DUI. The pursuit spanned several areas, including Mission Hills, Elysian Park, and Montrose, before concluding in Pasadena. During the chase, the suspect was clocked at speeds exceeding 100 mph, prompting officers to temporarily halt their ground pursuit. During this pause, the suspect stopped at a gas station in Montrose to fill up the vehicle's tank. The chase resumed and eventually ended when the suspect abandoned the vehicle near Del Monte Street and Forest Avenue in Pasadena. Both a man and a woman were arrested, though officials have not confirmed if they were linked to other crimes.
