Housing Lottery Opens for 29 Renovated Co-Ops in West Harlem, Manhattan
An affordable housing lottery has been launched for 29 newly renovated cooperative apartments located in West Harlem, Manhattan. These co-ops are situated across three century-old buildings at 505, 523, and 527 West 134th Street, forming part of the 505 West 134th Street Cluster project developed by ELH Mgmt. LLC. The initiative aims to provide qualifying New Yorkers with an opportunity to become homeowners in a desirable urban area. To be eligible, households must earn 70 percent of the area median income, with annual incomes ranging from $68,242 to $147,280, depending on the household size. Interested applicants can review the eligibility requirements and submit their applications through NYC Housing Connect. The deadline for applications is September 8, 2026. This lottery represents an effort to expand homeownership opportunities for moderate-income individuals and families in a competitive housing market like New York City.
