Foundation Launched in Memory of Slain Blackstone Executive Wesley LePatner to Foster Leadership
A year after the tragic death of Wesley LePatner, a Blackstone executive, her family and friends have established the Wesley Mittman LePatner (WML) Foundation. The foundation aims to develop a network of 1,000 leaders across various industries to strengthen the nonprofit sector. The flagship program, Wesley Leaders, is a two-year leadership accelerator that pairs fellows with mentors. Initially launching in New York City, the program plans to expand nationwide. The foundation's announcement coincided with a memorial service for LePatner at Manhattan's Central Synagogue. LePatner, who was 43 at the time of her death, was known for her philanthropic efforts and leadership in the corporate world.
