Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation's $200,000 Grant to Boost Brown County Healthcare Workforce
A $200,000 Talent Recruitment Grant from the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation is set to enhance the healthcare workforce in Brown County by attracting out-of-state residents. The initiative, led by Heroes for Healthcare, Brown County, Emplify Health by Bellin, and Aurora Health Care, aims to hire 20 healthcare professionals who are military veterans. These professionals will receive $7,500 incentive bonuses to assist with relocation expenses. The grant will also fund marketing and advertising for the Heroes for Healthcare program, which will manage initial employee screenings. The program is designed to provide veterans with opportunities to transition to civilian healthcare roles, leveraging their existing skills and experience.
