European Union's GDP Reaches €18.8 Trillion in 2025, Germany Leads Economic Output
The European Union's (EU) gross domestic product (GDP) was valued at €18.8 trillion in 2025, according to Eurostat. Germany emerged as the largest economy within the EU, contributing €4.5 trillion, or 23.8% of the total GDP. France and Italy followed, accounting for 15.8% and 12.0% respectively. At the lower end, Malta had the smallest economy, representing 0.1% of the EU's GDP.
