Leda Faye Self's Legacy Celebrated in Warsaw with Family and Community
Leda Faye Self, a long-time resident of Warsaw, passed away peacefully on July 28, 2026, at the age of 90. Born in Checotah, Oklahoma, Leda was a devoted Christian and the matriarch of her family. She married Hallie Junior Self at the age of 16, and they enjoyed nearly 65 years of marriage until Hallie's passing in 2017. The couple moved to Warsaw in 2004, where Leda became known for her skills as a homemaker and seamstress, as well as her love for outdoor activities like camping and fishing. Leda is survived by her son Barry Self, daughter Linda Hoover, 13 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and her brother Jack Murray. A service to celebrate her life will be held on August 4, 2026, at Redpath-Fruth-Byers Funeral Home, followed by a graveside service at Oakwood Cemetery.
