Summer Sound Series Brings Free Concerts to New Bedford Starting June 26
The Summer Sound Series is set to return to downtown New Bedford, Massachusetts, offering free concerts from June 26 through September 4. Organized by AHA! New Bedford and supported by Mayor Jon Mitchell, the series will feature performances every Friday evening from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., except for a special July 3 event starting at 6 p.m. The lineup includes a variety of musical genres such as ska, funk, indie, and reggae, with acts like the NB Rude Boys, The Groovalottos, and Entrain. The series will also coincide with other community events, including the NB250 celebration and the 3rd EyE Open hip hop festival. Free parking will be available at designated garages, and all events are weather-dependent.
