L.A. Puppeteer Faces Devastating Theft of $40,000 in Handmade Puppets and Props
Jackie Smook, a Los Angeles puppeteer, has suffered a significant loss after thieves stole $40,000 worth of handmade puppets, props, and merchandise from outside her Hollywood Hills home. These items were integral to her web series and theatrical show, 'Dilly’s World.' The theft occurred early Monday morning, with surveillance footage capturing the incident but not the suspects. Despite the setback, Smook is determined to rebuild her collection with the help of artists from various cities and has launched an online fundraiser to support her efforts.
