Ocala and Marion County Prepare for America's 250th Birthday Celebrations
Ocala and Marion County are gearing up for a series of events to celebrate America's 250th birthday on July 4th. The festivities will include a variety of activities such as a patriotic parade, fireworks, and musical performances. The Ocala Symphony Orchestra will perform patriotic music at the Reilly Arts Center on June 27 and 28. An American Independence Exhibit will open on June 28, showcasing a special America 250 exhibit in partnership with the Sons and Daughters of the American Revolution. On July 4th, a parade will take place, followed by fireworks at four different locations, including Wrigley Fields and the Ocala/Marion County Veterans Memorial Park. The celebrations will also feature food trucks, vendors, and live music. Ocala/Marion County, known as the Horse Capital of the World, is home to 75,000 horses, more than any other county in the United States.
