Straus Family Creamery Recalls Ice Cream Due to Metal Contamination Risk
Straus Family Creamery has issued a voluntary recall of select flavors and sizes of its Organic Ice Cream due to potential contamination with metal fragments. The recall affects products distributed to retailers in 17 states, including California, Texas, and Florida, starting May 4. The recall was prompted by an alert from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), which advised consumers to check the 'best by' dates on packaging to identify affected products. No injuries have been reported, and consumers are urged to discard the recalled items and contact the company for a replacement voucher.
