Texas A Research Highlights Creatine's Role in Muscle Preservation and Strength for Older Adults
New research from Texas A&M University indicates that creatine offers significant benefits for muscle preservation and strength, particularly in older adults. A 12-week study, published in the Journal of the International Society of Sports Nutrition, involved adults aged 45–65. Dr. Richard Kreider, professor and director of the Exercise and Sport Nutrition Lab at Texas A&M and the study's principal investigator, has been studying creatine for over 30 years. His research consistently points to creatine's role in replenishing cellular energy and its positive effects on exercise performance, muscle, and strength across the lifespan. The study also observed that participants taking creatine had a greater reduction in body fat percentage when com...
