Chinese Adoptee Explores Identity and Impact of Adoption Through Therapy
Emma Ming Fuller, a Chinese adoptee raised in Los Angeles, is exploring the impact of her adoption on her identity and personal development. Adopted at a young age from China during the country's one-child policy era, Fuller was raised in a predominantly white environment. Despite having a loving adoptive family, she has recently begun to recognize the deep-seated effects of her early life experiences. Through therapy, Fuller has identified attachment patterns and other challenges linked to her adoption. She has started a project called 'Living Adopted,' a video series where she shares her journey and connects with other adoptees. This initiative aims to address identity, self-love, and the unique struggles faced by adoptees.
