Temple Newsam Bike Park Opens to Teach Young Riders Cycling Safety
Temple Newsam, a historic site in Leeds, has opened a new bike park designed to teach young cyclists how to ride safely. The park replicates real road conditions with features like traffic lights and level crossings. This initiative, the first of its kind in Leeds, aims to provide young riders with the confidence and skills needed to navigate real-world cycling environments. James Gibson, Leeds City Council's executive member for environment, emphasized the importance of equipping young people with the skills to access job opportunities and green spaces by bike.
