International Rescue Committee Expands Financial Management in Uganda to Support Refugee Programs
The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is enhancing its financial management operations in Uganda through the appointment of a Senior Finance Manager. This role is crucial for overseeing the financial aspects of the Refugee Support, Empowerment, and Transformation (ReSET) program, a five-year initiative funded by the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO). The program aims to provide lifesaving assistance and improve self-reliance and resilience among refugees and host communities in Uganda. The Senior Finance Manager will ensure compliance with IRC's policies and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), manage budgets, and oversee financial reporting and sub-award management. The IRC has been active in Uganda since 1998, supporting refugees and vulnerable communities through various programs.
