STEM NOLA and The HOPE Program Partner with NBA Foundation to Expand Youth Opportunities
STEM NOLA and The HOPE Program have partnered with the NBA Foundation to enhance opportunities for youth in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) education. Founded by Dr. Calvin Mackie, STEM NOLA provides hands-on learning experiences through events like STEM Fest and monthly STEM Saturdays, engaging hundreds of students in interactive activities. The HOPE Program focuses on sustainability and career readiness, offering training in communication, financial literacy, and workplace skills. Both organizations aim to empower young people from underinvested communities, emphasizing environmental justice and economic opportunity. The partnership with the NBA Foundation allows these programs to expand their reach and impact, providing comprehensive support and job placement assistance to participants.
