Los Angeles' Brentwood Neighborhood Grapples with Persistent Public Defecation Issue
Residents of the affluent Brentwood neighborhood in Los Angeles are facing an ongoing issue of public defecation, with one individual repeatedly using sidewalks as a toilet. Video evidence shows the woman openly defecating on a grass sidewalk at the intersection of Goshen and Barrington Avenues. This behavior has reportedly been occurring for years, with some residents stating they witness it 'every morning.' The situation has escalated, with one resident, Wendy Kush, reporting that the woman became verbally aggressive and lunged at her. Despite attempts by residents to seek assistance for the individual, including contacting help groups and local authorities, efforts have been largely unsuccessful. Agencies have indicated that their hands are tied unless a 'violent act' is committed, and the woman has refused offered services.
