Mayor Wilson Appoints Kelli Larsen as Director of Seattle Office of Housing, Aiming to Tackle Affordable Housing Challenges
Mayor Katie B. Wilson has appointed Kelli Larsen as the new director of the Seattle Office of Housing. Larsen, who has nearly two decades of experience in the affordable housing sector, has been serving as the Policy and Planning Director within the same office for the past five years. Her notable achievements include leading the reauthorization of the Seattle Housing Levy and creating new funding programs for permanent supportive housing. Mayor Wilson emphasized the critical nature of housing issues in Seattle and expressed confidence in Larsen's ability to advance the city's housing agenda. Larsen is set to begin her new role on July 29, 2026, and has expressed her commitment to addressing homelessness and expanding affordable housing options in Seattle.
