Ethiopia Looks to Israel's Start-Up Model to Develop AI Sector
Ethiopia is drawing inspiration from Israel's 'Start-Up Nation' model to expand its artificial intelligence and technology sectors. Ethiopian Ambassador Tesfaye Yitayeh highlighted the strong bilateral relationship between Ethiopia and Israel, noting increased Israeli involvement in Ethiopian agriculture, technology, and infrastructure. Recent diplomatic engagements, including a visit by Israeli President Isaac Herzog and an investment forum led by Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar in Addis Ababa, underscore the deepening ties. This collaboration aims to leverage Israeli expertise to foster innovation and growth in Ethiopia's burgeoning tech industry.
