Dan Lohrmann Discusses AI's Role in Transforming Government Cybersecurity
Dan Lohrmann, a seasoned cybersecurity expert with over 30 years of experience, recently shared insights on the evolving landscape of government cybersecurity in an interview. Lohrmann, who has held significant roles such as the first state government Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) in the USA and Michigan's Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and Chief Security Officer (CSO), currently serves as Field CISO for Public Sector at Presidio. He emphasized the transformative potential of AI in cybersecurity, predicting a shift from perimeter security to identity and data-centric models. Lohrmann highlighted that AI will automate many aspects of attack and defense, but stressed that human oversight remains crucial.
