OAS and UC Riverside Launch Strategic AI Leadership Program for Public Sector Leaders
The Organization of American States (OAS) has partnered with the University of California, Riverside, to introduce the Strategic Artificial Intelligence Leadership (SAIL) Program. This virtual training initiative is designed for public sector leaders across the Americas. The program aims to equip policymakers and government officials with the knowledge to responsibly and strategically implement artificial intelligence (AI) technologies within their respective institutions. The curriculum is structured in two levels, with current applications focusing on Level 1, which covers AI governance, ethical considerations, and organizational readiness. The course, funded by the United States government, is scheduled for September 2026 and will consist of eight online sessions, totaling fifteen hours of instruction.
