New York Gas Prices Surge to $4 Per Gallon Amid Rising Crude Oil Costs
Gas prices in New York have reached an average of $4.07 per gallon, marking a significant increase from the previous week. This rise is part of a broader national trend, with the average price of regular gasoline in the U.S. climbing to $4.12 per gallon. The surge is attributed to high crude oil prices, which are currently between $108 and $109 per barrel, influenced by ongoing conflicts in the Middle East. Additionally, seasonal demand due to Easter travel is contributing to the increased fuel consumption, further driving up prices.
