Grambling State University Marching Band Returns to Harlem Parade for Milestone Celebration
Grambling State University's World Famed Tiger Marching Band is set to return to the African American Day Parade in Harlem, marking a significant milestone as the university celebrates its 125th anniversary and the band its 100th. The band will lead the parade on September 20, 2026, along Adam Clayton Powell Jr. Boulevard, reconnecting with a tradition that began in 1969 when the band first participated in the inaugural event. This year's parade theme, 'Good Businesses Sustain Our Future,' highlights the role of Black-owned businesses in community development.
