Tech Giants Collaborate on AI Project to Identify Software Vulnerabilities
Major technology companies, including Amazon, Apple, and Microsoft, have launched Project Glasswing, an AI-powered initiative to identify critical software vulnerabilities. The project utilizes Anthropic's Claude Mythos Preview AI model to detect security flaws in widely used software systems. The model has already uncovered thousands of previously unknown vulnerabilities, including long-standing bugs in OpenBSD and FFmpeg. The initiative aims to enhance cybersecurity by providing open-source security organizations with advanced AI tools to proactively identify and fix vulnerabilities.
