SoLa Foundation Expands Cultural Impact in Los Angeles Through Education and Tech Initiatives
The SoLa Foundation, the nonprofit arm of SoLa Impact, is making significant strides in Los Angeles by focusing on cultural and educational initiatives. Founded by Martin Muoto, SoLa Impact is a social impact real estate fund that aims to provide affordable housing in low-income communities. The foundation, launched in 2018, has awarded over $2.2 million in scholarships and trained thousands of young people in college and career-ready skills. It has also established the SoLa Tech & Entrepreneurship Center in partnership with Riot Games and Live Nation. The foundation's board includes notable figures from Hollywood, music, and tech, such as Grammy-winning songwriter James Fauntleroy. The foundation's efforts are supported by a commitment from SoLa Impact to allocate 13% of its profits to the foundation, a decision influenced by the Black Lives Matter movement.
