Severe Weather Threatens Central U.S. with Tornadoes, Wildfires, and Snow
A significant weather system is expected to impact the central United States, bringing a variety of severe weather conditions. According to USA Today, the National Weather Service (NWS) has forecasted a 'very active Spring weather pattern' that includes threats of tornadoes, hail, strong winds, flash floods, and snow. The storm system is moving eastward, affecting areas from Kansas to Oklahoma with large hail and tornadoes. Additionally, eastern Kansas, western Missouri, southern Iowa, and Nebraska are under advisories for excessive rainfall, which could lead to flash floods. The NWS has also issued a winter weather advisory for mountain ranges in Montana, Wyoming, and Colorado, predicting significant snowfall in higher elevations. Meanwhile, eastern New Mexico and far west Texas face an extreme fire risk due to high winds and low humidity.
