Alexa Leary's Journey from Traumatic Brain Injury to Paralympic Gold
Alexa Leary, an Australian Para-swimmer, has achieved remarkable success by winning a Paralympic gold medal and setting a world record in the 100m freestyle S9 category. Her journey began after a high-speed bicycle accident in 2021, which resulted in a traumatic brain injury (TBI) and left her with motor deficits on her left side.
