Barry Diller Warns of Unforeseen Consequences as AGI Approaches

Diller emphasized that while personal trust in AI leaders like OpenAI's Sam Altman is important, the primary issue lies in the unforeseen consequences of AGI. He warned that even AI creators cannot fully predict the future impacts of their technologies. Diller highlighted the need for developing protective mechanisms to control AGI, as its unchecked evolution could lead to a scenario where AI sets its own rules, posing significant risks to humanity.
