Boeing and Rheinmetall Collaborate to Enhance Germany's Combat Aircraft Capabilities
Boeing and Rheinmetall are collaborating to accelerate Germany's development of Collaborative Combat Aircraft (CCA) capabilities. The MQ-28 Ghost Bat, a mature platform, is central to this initiative, offering Germany the ability to integrate its own sensors, weapons, and mission software. The MQ-28 has already participated in multinational exercises, demonstrating its readiness for both air-to-ground and air-to-air operations. This collaboration aims to establish an independent system integration for the MQ-28 in Germany, allowing for the development and testing of national capabilities. The partnership also involves other companies like Rohde & Schwarz, Diehl Defence, and HENSOLDT, creating an industrial ecosystem to support Germany's defense industry.
