Vietnam and Australia Strengthen Economic Ties Through Multilateral Trade Agreements
Vietnam and Australia are enhancing their economic cooperation through participation in multilateral trade agreements such as the CPTPP, RCEP, and AANZFTA. These agreements provide a legal and market framework for trade, investment, and supply chain connectivity, integrating Vietnam-Australia economic relations with regional structures. The Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, established in 2024, has seen significant progress, with 96% of its action plan implemented. The partnership includes defense cooperation, economic strategies, and climate change initiatives. Recent visits and joint statements have further solidified this relationship, focusing on economic resilience and innovation.
