Columbia Fire Department Conducts Water Rescues Amid Flooding in Missouri
In Columbia, Missouri, the Fire Department and Boone County Fire Protection District conducted water rescues after two vehicles became trapped in floodwaters. The incident occurred on Blackfoot Road and Bear Creek, where emergency crews, including fire trucks and a rescue boat, responded. Three individuals were safely rescued without injuries. The flooding led to road closures, with Blackfoot Road from Stadium Blvd to O'Neal Road being closed due to high water levels. The Boone County Joint Communications advised residents to use alternate routes to avoid the flooded areas.
