India Strengthens Customs Administration with Technology-Driven Reforms
Union Minister of State for Finance Pankaj Chaudhary announced that India is enhancing its customs administration to be more technology-driven, transparent, and trade-friendly. The government has introduced reforms to simplify norms for international travelers and streamline e-commerce and courier clearances. Digital initiatives such as SWIFT 2.0 and ATITHI 2.0 have been launched to improve cargo registration, clearance processes, and risk management. These reforms aim to strengthen border security while making India a competitive global trade hub.
