NYC Mayor Mamdani Organizes Free Knicks Watch Party After MSG Cancellation
New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani has announced a free watch party for New York Knicks fans at Bryant Park for Game 3 of the NBA Finals against the San Antonio Spurs. This decision follows the cancellation of the planned watch party outside Madison Square Garden due to security concerns related to President Trump's attendance at the game. The New York Police Department coordinated with the Secret Service to cancel the MSG event, citing safety protocols. The Bryant Park event will accommodate 5,000 fans, with registration required. Additional watch parties are scheduled at Wollman Rink in Central Park and Brooklyn Bowl, both of which have reached capacity.
