Heavy Rain and Thunderstorms Expected in South Florida This Week
South Florida is set to experience unsettled weather conditions throughout the week, with a cold front bringing increased tropical moisture and above-normal rain chances. Monday started relatively dry with isolated coastal showers and temperatures reaching the upper 80s °F. However, conditions are expected to worsen from Tuesday onwards, with widespread showers and thunderstorms predicted. By Wednesday, the cold front will stall over Florida, creating favourable conditions for heavy rainfall and numerous thunderstorms. Localised flooding is possible in areas where storms repeatedly pass. Rainfall is expected to remain scattered and variable through Thursday and Friday, with no immediate return to dry conditions.
