Long Beach Police Continue Search for Suspect in Fatal Hit-and-Run
The Long Beach Police Department is actively searching for the suspect involved in a fatal hit-and-run incident that occurred on February 28, 2026. The victim, identified as 57-year-old Ronald Sera from Montebello, was struck by a vehicle while crossing Redondo Avenue in a crosswalk. Despite being transported to a local hospital, Sera succumbed to his injuries on April 15. The vehicle involved is believed to be a Toyota Previa van, which fled the scene without stopping to assist the victim. The police are urging anyone with information to contact the Collision Investigation Detail.
