The African Development Bank Group and ODI Global have formalized a strategic partnership aimed at developing financing instruments and policy approaches to address the financial needs of African countries. This collaboration seeks to provide affordable, long-term finance for infrastructure, energy, private sector growth, and economic transformation across the continent. African nations currently face significant challenges, including constrained official development assistance, rising debt pressures, and intensifying climate and economic headwinds. The partnership will combine the Bank Group's financing capabilities and operational experience with ODI Global's research and policy expertise in development finance reform. Both institutions have previously collaborated under the auspices of the Group of Twenty (G20) on issues such as capital adequacy and balance sheet optimization.
