EITB Mourns the Loss of Oihane Mateos, Digital News Chief, at 45
Oihane Mateos, the head of the digital news department at EITB, has passed away at the age of 45. EITB, the public broadcasting service of the Basque Country, announced her death and expressed condolences to her family and colleagues. Mateos had a distinguished career at EITB, having worked as a reporter and presenter for the news programs 'Gaur Egun' and 'Teleberri', and directed the show 'De Boca en Boca' on ETB2. In 2022, she was appointed as the head of digital news, overseeing EITB's online and social media news services. Her colleagues and friends have taken to social media to remember her as a vibrant and generous professional.
