Fire Destroys Popular Floating Bar on Lake Winnipesaukee, Investigation Ongoing
A fire destroyed The Dive, a well-known floating bar and restaurant on Lake Winnipesaukee, New Hampshire. The fire, which started in the kitchen, was reported at 3:39 p.m. on Saturday. Firefighters from multiple towns, along with the New Hampshire State Police Marine Patrol, responded to the scene and extinguished the flames. No injuries were reported, and the fire is not considered suspicious. The New Hampshire State Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the incident, with the business owner cooperating. The boat, now a total loss, has been removed from the scene. The New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services is overseeing the cleanup, ensuring no environmental damage from the fire.
