Aeroitalia Plans International Expansion with New Boeing 737 MAX Deliveries
Aeroitalia, an Italian airline, is set to expand its operations internationally in 2027 with the acquisition of new Boeing 737-8 aircraft. The airline, which began operations in 2022, has primarily focused on domestic routes within Italy. However, with the new fleet, Aeroitalia aims to transition from a low-cost carrier to a network airline, enhancing connectivity through partnerships with major airlines like Air France, Delta Air Lines, and KLM. The expansion strategy includes opening new routes from its base at Salerno Amalfi Coast Airport to popular destinations such as Ibiza, Palma de Mallorca, Mykonos, and Santorini. The airline is currently the third-largest provider of domestic capacity in Italy, with plans to increase its fleet to 20 aircraft by the summer of 2026.
