Irene M. Johnson, Longtime Resident of Colfax, WI, Passes Away at 84
Irene M. Johnson, a resident of Colfax, Wisconsin, passed away on July 8, 2026, at the age of 84. Born on July 8, 1942, to Mavis and Jesse Phillips, Irene grew up in rural Menomonie. She married Edwin Johnson in 1960, and they shared 65 years together, raising three children. Irene worked as a bookkeeper for her father's feed mill and later as a cafeteria cook for the Spring Valley School District. After retirement, she enjoyed spending time with family and friends, engaging in activities like fishing and camping. Irene is survived by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and other relatives. A visitation will be held on August 10, 2026, at Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie, followed by burial at Grandview Cemetery.
