This pause affects students from countries on President Trump's travel ban list, leaving many in a state of uncertainty. The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has halted the processing of these applications, citing the need for rigorous vetting processes. This has left students like Andres Pulido and Kimberley Duru in limbo, unable to start their planned careers or continue their education. The pause has led to financial hardships and forced some students to consider leaving the U.S. altogether.
