San Francisco Police Arrest Two Suspects in Connection with Russian Hill Shooting
On April 12, 2026, San Francisco Police Department (SFPD) officers responded to a report of possible shots fired in the Russian Hill area. The investigation revealed that a vehicle with two occupants was involved in the incident. The vehicle was traced back to Amanda Tom, a 25-year-old resident of San Francisco. Officers detained Tom and 23-year-old Muhamad Tarik Hussein at a residence on the 2000 block of Taylor Street. A search of the residence led to the discovery and seizure of three firearms. Both individuals were arrested and booked for negligent discharge of a firearm. The SFPD emphasized the seriousness with which they treat gun-related crimes and commended the officers for their swift action in apprehending the suspects and removing dangerous weapons from the streets.
