Bissell Recalls 1.7 Million Steam Cleaners Due to Burn Risk
Bissell has issued a recall for 1.7 million steam cleaners sold at major retailers like Target, Walmart, and Amazon, following reports of over 100 burn injuries. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced that the recall affects Bissell Steam Shot OmniReach and Omni handheld steam cleaners. The issue arises from attachments that can detach unexpectedly, allowing hot water or steam to escape. The affected products were sold between October 2024 and March 2026, and consumers are advised to stop using the attachments immediately and contact Bissell for free replacements.
