Prairieburg Community Begins Recovery After Severe Storms Cause Widespread Damage
The community of Prairieburg, Iowa, is dealing with the aftermath of severe storms that struck the area, causing significant damage. The storms, which hit around 5:15 p.m. on Friday, resulted in downed power lines, fallen trees, and damaged homes. Residents are now engaged in cleanup efforts, with local crews and neighbors working together to clear debris and restore power. The storm caused extensive damage to structures, including a 125-year-old home owned by Jim Greif, who reported blown-out windows and water damage. Despite the destruction, no injuries have been reported, and the community is rallying to support one another during the recovery process.
