I-65 Northbound Reopens in Louisville Ahead of Schedule Amid Ongoing Construction
Two northbound lanes of Interstate 65 in Louisville, Kentucky, have reopened three days ahead of schedule as part of the $150 million Central Corridor Project. The project aims to replace several aging overpass bridges along the interstate. Although the northbound lanes are now open, the southbound lanes remain closed. Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear and transportation officials have praised the public's adaptability during the construction. The project, which began in June 2026, is expected to continue through mid-2027, with ongoing lane closures and a reduced speed limit of 40 mph in the construction zone.
