Gloucester Cheese Rolling Race Set to Attract Global Participants
The annual Gloucester Cheese Rolling race, a unique and historic event in Great Britain, is scheduled for May 25. Participants from around the world will gather to chase an eight-pound wheel of Double Gloucester cheese down Cooper's Hill, a steep 200-yard incline. The race is known for its chaotic and injury-prone nature, as competitors often tumble down the hill in pursuit of the cheese. The event, which dates back over 600 years, continues to grow in popularity, drawing hundreds of participants and even more spectators each year.
